AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department's Robbery Unit on Wednesday asked for the public's help in identifying two men connected with two aggravated robberies that happened in north Austin since November, according to a press release from the agency. APD said the first robbery happened at a convenience store in the 10300 block of North Lamar Boulevard on Nov. 30, 2024, between 9:50 p.m. and 10 p.m. The second robbery happened at a grocery store in the 8200 block of Research Boulevard on Dec. 16, 2024, between 10:20 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., according to authorities. (Austin Police Department Photo) APD described the first man as between 35 and 45 years old, 6'0" to 6'2" tall and around 200 pounds. He was last seen armed with a handgun and wearing a gray and orange University of Texas Austin sweatshirt, black pants, sunglasses, a multicolored medical-style mask, black gloves and white shoes with black trim. Authorities described the second man as between 35 and 45 years old, 6'0" to 6'2" tall, and about 200 pounds. He was last seen armed with a black handgun and wearing all-black clothing that included a hoodie, sunglasses, gaiters, pants, gloves, and shoes. If you have information that could help investigators please contact APD’s Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. APD said a reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
