Austin nonprofit receives $125K through ChickfilA grant

AUSTIN (KXAN) – The Marbridge Foundation, an Austin nonprofit, received a $125K grant after being named a 2025 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards grant recipient.
Marbridge is a nonprofit residential community with more than 275 adults with cognitive disabilities living and working to achieve a new life, according to the Marbridge website. The organization plans to use its $125,000 grant to assist residents with tuition, covering costs such as, utilities, groceries, supplies, transportation, medical services, staff salaries, training and more.
Created in 2015 to honor legacy Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy, the True Inspiration Awards program award annual grants to support nonprofit organizations who made a impact in their local community. The grants can range from $30,000 to $350,000, according to the Chick-fil-A website.
This year, $6 million was awarded to 56 total nonprofit organizations.
Since 2015, Chick-fil-A has rewarded $33.8 million in grants to more than 350 nonprofit organizations in 40 states throughout the U.S., in addition to Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, Canada and the United Kingdom, according to the website.
Chick-fil-A One customers were able to vote for the True Inspiration Awards though the Chick-fil-A app.
