First-place Cleveland State won its ninth game in a row, 76-58, over Northern Kentucky on Jan. 15 at the Wolstein Center. Tahj Staveskie scored 20 points for the Vikings, who improved to 13-6 (7-1 Horizon League). Chase Robinson added 13 points, and Dylan Arnett and Reece Robinson added 11 reach. Cleveland State was 11-for-14 from the free-throw line, all in the second half. The Viking shot 14 of 23 in the second half to pull away after taking a seven-point lead at halftime. Cleveland State, which next plays Jan. 19 at IU Indy, is projected as a 15th seed in the NCAA tournament by ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.
