Authorities on Wednesday publicly identified a 34-year-old man who was fatally shot last weekend in Oceanside. Patrol officers responding to reports of a shooting found Justin Bazan of Vista mortally wounded at the intersection of College Boulevard and Olive Drive about 2 a.m. Sunday, according to the Oceanside Police Department. Bazan died at the scene, Detective Sgt. Dave Estrada said. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and police have not announced any arrests in the case.
