OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Oceanside’s vibrant downtown scene just got a little more tropical with the grand opening of The Lobby Tiki Bar & Grill at the historic Brick Hotel. This new gathering spot combines midcentury-inspired tiki culture with elevated cocktails and island-infused American cuisine, creating moody, retro vibes for the North County dining scene. Replacing the former Q&A Restaurant and Oyster Bar, the tiki bar offers an atmosphere that transports guests to a lush, tropical getaway, right in the heart of Oceanside. As explained by its creators, the restaurant’s design pays homage to post-war tiki culture with a modern twist, setting the table for a dining experience that is both nostalgic and new. The menu features rum-forward classics like Mai Tais and Zombies, alongside inventive new creations the bar staff says you won’t find anywhere else. On top of that, every drink is crafted to be as visually stunning as it is delicious. Island-inspired American cuisine The menu also delivers an island-inspired twist on American cuisine. Whether you’re in the mood for shareable bites or indulgent plates, The Lobby Tiki Bar & Grill offers a selection of lively dishes. Choose from the Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks, The Nacho Volcano, Poke Inari Bombs, Kalua Tacos, Island Style Ceviche, or the Hawaiian Donuts. According to the hospitality group, each dish is designed to complement the restaurant’s tropical cocktail offerings, creating a full-fledged sensory escape. From 3 to 9 p.m. on Mai Tai Mondays, guests can enjoy $7 Mai Tais and $10 Huli Huli Chicken Wings. On Fridays, the fun continues with hula dancers performing throughout the evening and leis provided to guests with reservations — creating the perfect island-inspired vibe.
