Pancake and waffle mix boxes recalled in Kansas due to allergy danger

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Federal health officials say the Quaker Oats Company is recalling a limited number of pancake and waffle mix boxes this week due to an allergy risk.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on Jan. 15 that a recall was issued by the Quaker Oats Company for a select number of its two-pound boxes of "Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffle Mix" as they may contain undeclared milk. People who are allergic to milk or who have a severe sensitivity to milk may be at risk or serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they come into contact with the recalled pancake and waffle mixes.
The FDA reports these boxes were shipped to 11 states with customers being able to purchase the boxes as early as Nov. 18, 2024. States which received these boxes include:
Arkansas
Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas
Kentucky
Minnesota
Mississippi
Nebraska
Utah
Wisconsin

The FDA said no other products from the Pearl Milling Company are being impacted by this recall. No allergic reactions connected to the recalled pancake and waffle mixes have been reported yet.
