SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - The Savannah Police Department (SPD) has made an arrest in connection with a shooting on Montgomery Crossroads last year. Demetrius Lawton, 24, has been charged in connection with the February 13, 2024 fatal shooting in the 200 block of W. Montgomery Crossroads. On that day, Savannah Police Department (SPD) responded to the scene where they found the two victims suffering from what appeared to be serious injuries. They were taken to separate hospitals for treatment; one victim died.
