West Bridgewater Police arrest man on child sexual abuse material charges

WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WLNE) — The West Bridgewater Police Department said it arrested a man on child sexual abuse material charges on Wednesday.
24-year-old Davi Borges Dos Santos, of West Bridgewater, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography and distributing obscene matter.
On Dec. 17, 2024, West Bridgewater police received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the distribution of child sexual abuse materials from a user on an instant messaging app.
Police said they determined that a resident of a home on Ellis Avenue was using the app, who was identified as Dos Santos.
On Jan. 6, West Bridgewater police acquired a search warrant for the home, and conducted the search around 7 a.m. on Jan. 7.
From the search, police said they seized two of the suspect’s electronic devices for further examination.
On Jan. 14, Massachusetts State Police said that five videos containing child sexual abuse materials were allegedly discovered on one of Dos Santos’ devices.
On Jan. 15, Dos Santos was arrested and taken into custody.
Officials said children living on the premises of Ellis Avenue were not involved with the incident.
Dos Santos was arraigned in Brockton District Court Wednesday.
