CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cumberland Police Department said it arrested a 23-year-old Cranston man wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Attleboro.
Police deployed Flock cameras around 4 p.m. on Jan. 14 for multiple cars wanted in outside jurisdictions.
Police pursued one car until it reached the Central Falls line, while another was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Lusitana Avenue and Broad Street where the driver fled.
The crashed vehicle matched a vehicle sought by Attleboro police for an armed robbery, and police located the driver in an adjacent neighborhood and took him into custody.
Police said that the suspect’s name and charges where not being released at this time due to “the complexity of the case” and the suspect was in the hospital due to an unrelated medical condition.
