EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Pawtucket Mayor Don Grebien joined 12 News at 4 on Wednesday to talk about his city's priorities for 2025. Grebien told Kim Kalunian he is actively discussing a new location for Hasbro with the company's CEO Chris Cocks. "I feel very strongly that Pawtucket's the right place for many different reasons," he said. He also highlighted the city's Tidewater Landing development project, which includes Rhode Island FC's home stadium (opening May 3) as well as more than 600 units of housing. "You should see a shovel in the ground [on the housing development], potentially, at the end of this year," Grebien said. The mayor also shared an update on the Dexter Street Commons project, which Gov. Dan McKee shouted out in his State of the State speech on Tuesday night. Grebien said the Commons will be ready for residents to move in starting in 2026. Watch the full interview in the player above. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox.
