WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Good news for travelers seeking easier connecting flights in and out of T.F. Green International Airport. JetBlue announced Wednesday that the airline is launching a new daily nonstop service from T.F. Green to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York. The daily year-round flights are slated to begin May 1 with fares as low as $49. JetBlue said flights will depart T.F. Green at 7 a.m. each morning and return from JFK around 11:30 p.m., allowing travelers to spend a full day in New York City or make global connections. The new service will open up a number of possibilities for Rhode Islanders looking to travel internationally. JetBlue offers regular nonstop flights from JFK to 195 different cities across the globe in 80 different countries. The airline's longest nonstop flight from JFK is to Singapore, which is 9,487 miles away. The last time T.F. Green offered service to JFK was back in March 2009.
