Three Arrested for Chinoe Road Homicide

UPDATE: 01/15/25: Three people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Gregory Williams on November 30, 2024.
On November 30, 2024, around 6:43 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Chinoe Road for a shooting. When they arrived, they located a male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with reported life-threatening injuries, where he passed away from his injuries. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Gregory Williams, 35.
Using investigative techniques and assistance from the department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center, detectives were able to identify three suspects.
Yas-Ree Collins, 22, was arrested on December 6, 2024, by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. She has been charged with Complicity to Murder. She is currently being held at the Warren County, OH Jail awaiting extradition to Fayette County.
Jeremiah Mitchell, 20, was arrested on January 10, 2025, by the US Marshals Service. He has been charged with Murder, four counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree. He is currently being held at the Wayne County, MI Jail awaiting extradition to Fayette County.
Alexis Compton, 24, was arrested on January 15, 2025, by the Lexington Police Department. She has been charged with Complicity to Murder, as well as charges unrelated to the homicide. She is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

DEC 1, 2024: The victim has succumbed to his injuries. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the decedent’s name.
