Teen boys arrested after trying to rob vape store in West El Paso, police say

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two teenage boys are facing charges after they allegedly attempted to rob a vape store this week in West El Paso, El Paso Police said.
Antonio Bueno, 17, and Caleb Ezekiel Gonzalez, 17, are both facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest or detention.

Police say just after 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, they were called to Vape City located at 3910 Doniphan for a reported aggravated robbery.
When officers arrived, they met with an employee who told officers that Bueno and Gonzalez had entered the store, and one of them attempted to rob the employee while holding a gun, police said.
The employee also told officers that Bueno and Gonzalez fled the store after the employee refused to give them anything, police said.
Police say they then saw both Bueno and Gonzalez at the 900 block of Sunland Park and when officers tried to approach them, they both ran away.
After a short foot pursuit, officers took Bueno and Gonzalez into custody behind a business. Officers also confiscated a handgun, police said.
Bueno and Gonzalez were both booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, both with a $102,000 bond.
