WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) -- President-elect Donald Trump's pick for attorney general, former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, shares his views of the Biden administration's Department of Justice. "The weaponization will be gone. America will have one tier of justice for all," Bondi said. During her confirmation hearing Bondi told lawmakers she is ready to tackle one of the biggest issues facing America, illegal drugs. "Do you support making certain drug cartels in Mexico foreign terrorist organizations?" Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) asked.  "They are a grave and violent threat to our country," Bondi replied. Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin doesn't question Bondi's qualifications but has concerns about her loyalty to Trump.  "The issue is your ability to say no," Durbin said. Trump's pick for secretary of state, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), is used to questioning cabinet nominees, but this time he was on the other end.  "It's a bit surreal to be on this side of the room, but you all look very distinguished," Rubio said. Senator Rubio told lawmakers the U.S. must change course and become less reliant on China.  "We welcomed the Chinese Communist Party into the global order and they took advantage of all of its benefits and they ignored all of its obligations and responsibilities.  Instead, they have repressed and lied and cheated," Rubio said.  More confirmation hearings are scheduled for this week as the Senate moves to put the president-elect's cabinet in place.
