Gaston man sentenced to 28 years in prison for trying to kill exgirlfriend

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Gaston man will spend nearly 30 years in prison for trying to kill his ex-girlfriend.
Officials with the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office say Parris Sutton was sentenced to 28 years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder.
Officials say on September 17, 2022, Sutton shot his ex-girlfriend several times at a home on Edmund Highway.
According to authorities, she is now paralyzed.
