Investigators: drug ring busted inside local motel

CHESTER CO., S.C. – The Chester County Sheriff’s Office busted an alleged drug ring being run out of a local motel. Over the course of a months-long investigation, Narcotics Investigators say they got tips from concerned community members.
Investigators say long-term tenants living at The Richburg Inn were involved in the distribution of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Crack Cocaine.
Deputies executed three search warrants over the course of multiple days at The Richburg Inn, located on Lancaster Highway near I-77 in Chester County.
Investigators arrested eight people:
Raekwon “Kwon” Ervin
Jason “Smitty” Smith
Taylor “Tay-Tay” Dennis
Timya “Mya” Maye
Bryce Hill
Avery Tyson
Carlos Stanley
Charles Knauff
The Sheriff’s Office says Ervin, Smith, Dennis, and Maye are accused of committing drug crimes (Exposing Children to Methamphetamine and Child Endangerment – Fentanyl) in front of a child. The child was present during the execution of a search warrant. The child was taken into Emergency Protective Custody.
The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed.
