MT. PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) - What started at the age of 13 when her parents took her to her first game, Mt. Pleasant's Debbie Antonelli grew up in Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of NC State. Now she is set to be honored inside the Lady Wolfpacks home gymnasium on Thursday night. A life dedicated to basketball and the Wolfpack, the NC State alum Antonelli will be inducted into the North Carolina State Ring of Honor. After her playing days were over in the mid 1980's, Debbie began her broadcasting career fresh out of grad school at 23. It's a job she has held for the last three decades. Along with calling college basketball games, Antonelli has used her passion for helping others as a driving force for her work with the Special Olympics and helping start the "Elevate" program at State. Debbie will be going into the Ring of Honor for all of her contributions to the game of basketball.
