ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) -- Representatives for ROC the Future Alliance visit the News 8 at Sunrise set to talk about the upcoming 12th annual State of Our Children Report Card. Executive Director Brian Lewis explains this year's theme — "11,000 Local Youth On Path to Upward Mobility by 2030" — reflects a goal to identify key metrics for student success, target eliminating barriers, and foster community partnerships that will easily facilitate resources to families. More than 60 Greater Rochester community leaderships and organizations will be at the report unveiling Friday, January 17. This includes the Greater Rochester Health Foundation and its senior program officer, Danette Campbell-Bell, who will serve as the event's co-host. Campbell-Bell shares what she views is one of the most important factors to elevating childhood academic achievement — public accountability and community buy in. News 8's Mikhaela Singleton shares the interview.
