VIDEO: Homeless encampment fire spreads to vegetation in Logan Heights

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A fire erupted at a homeless encampment in Logan Heights Wednesday morning, with the blaze spreading to nearby vegetation.
According to a Sig Alert released by California Highway Patrol, the fire was first reported around 5:18 a.m. in the area of the Ocean View Boulevard onramp to the southbound 15 freeway.
In a video captured at the scene, a San Diego Fire-Rescue team could be seen dragging hoses to the fire before dousing water over the impacted area, which appeared to be littered with trash and an assortment of other objects like chairs and even a shopping cart.
No injuries were reported in connection to this incident and no evacuation orders were made.
The blaze has since been extinguished.
