H.S. Girls Basketball Wrap: Ewing leads Colonial Division with win over Trenton

TRENTON — The Ewing High varsity girls’ basketball team took over first place in the Colonial Valley Conference Colonial Division Tuesday by defeating Trenton, 60-44.
After trailing, 28-25, at intermission, head coach Dan Montferrat’s Blue Devils outscored head coach Aja Carter’s Tornadoes, 35-16, the rest of the way.
Lillie Alston led all scorers with 22 points for Ewing, which is 4-0 in the Colonial Division, while her teammate Taylor Williams chipped in 15 points. Lemia Brown-Johnson’s 11 points paced Trenton.

Penelope Swarn dominated scoring with 21 points for Hightstown. Ava Aldarelli’s 11 points were tops for the Ravens.
