Health New England sale called off, according to Baystate Health

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Health New England will not be sold to the parent company of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan.
Flu cases surge in Massachusetts
Health New England is currently owned by Baystate Health, which released a statement saying the sale of the insurer to Point32Health will not be moving forward.
Customers of Health New England will see no changes to their plans or benefits, and Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts subscribers will continue to in-network access to Baystate hospitals and physicians.
The statement from Baystate Health goes on to say, "Baystate Health governance and senior leadership will be taking the next few months to evaluate the strategic positioning and performance of Health New England to inform future decisions."
