The board recommends deputies and leadership support the behavioral health unit, continue to targeted crime operations, prioritize community outreach and upgrade taser and bodycam capabilities. The board also highlighted New Mexico's red flag law as a major focus for the year, saying those temporary firearm protection orders have been underutilized.
