Saturday was a good day. Things felt back to normal. We met in the Cab lot early to make sure we were in that coveted top 10 chair of the day at opening. How early I’m not going to share, but the dog was pissed I woke her up that early to pee before I left.Everything went smoothly, the bubble opened on time, despite some chilly wind whipping through our gaiters, which made me question if it’d be another one of those 15 minute wind delay mornings.Delays on lifts are not usually a big deal and there is a reasonable explanation for them; we can get into that another time. This morning was perfect. You knew there was at least 6 inches of fresh up there, and were crossing your fingers the wind freezing your face was filling in some more stashes.I had not been to the mountain since Christmas Day, and was eager to get back to what was. Park City Mountain is a special place. No way did today compare to any of the epic powder days I’ve had over my years here, but it felt good.If you rode up McConkeys, or Peak 5, or Tombstone this weekend and were there when ski patrol dropped the ropes, you know why it felt so good. Here’s to more snowfall so all of our mountain operations employees can provide us and our guests the best experience.Locals are blacked out MLK weekend. Support a local business around the community. We all make this place great.Chris FavaJordanelleThe post Good day skiing appeared first on Park Record.
