APPLETON, WI (WFRV) - The non-profit Feeding America unveiled food lockers on the Fox Valley Technical College campus. Some describe them as working similarly to an Amazon locker. Students order online from available food items delivered to the temperature-controlled lockers on campus 24-7. This is to enhance what's already provided through the campus food pantry. The agency says 78 students access the pantry each week. Date set for Appleton Public Library’s grand opening Feeding America told Local 5 News that it's working to secure money for more lockers around northeast Wisconsin. The items are nutritious and the food lockers are the latest efforts to use technology to streamline efficiency and accessibility.
