More frigid air today with more snow on the way

Bitterly cold air continues to affect the area today but, a warm-up is coming within the next 24 hours, with more snow possible.
Temperatures in the teens this afternoon
Sunshine will last through the afternoon but the bitterly cold air stays in the place with an afternoon high in the teens.
Some areas may get up to an inch overnight and early Thursday morning
Even though temperatures will tumble into the single digits tonight we're on the cusp of much warmer air. At the leading edge of these warmer temperatures will be snow showers pushed into the area by a Pacific front.
Snow is on the way tonight and early Thursday
Most areas will see less than 1" as snow will end early Thursday morning.
The biggest difference you'll notice on Thursday will be a dramatic swing in temperatures with a high in the lower 30s.
It will be even warmer Friday with a high in the middle 30s.
There will be a mixed bag of precipitation on Saturday with a high in the middle 30s.
Temperatures will begin to plummet Saturday night and Sunday as more arctic air moves back into the area and temperatures will only be in the teens.
This next polar plunge will take highs down into the single digits Monday and Tuesday and low temperatures have the potential to be below zero.
Temperatures will slowly moderate by the end of next week as highs will be in the teens and 20s.
