'Celebrate with Serving': Local ChickfilA gives back to community organizations
Jan 15, 2025
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A local restaurant is serving the community more than chicken this week.
Celebrating its sixth year in Fort Wayne, Chick-fil-A Coliseum Boulevard will volunteer and donate a portion of its sales to five local organizations:
January 13: Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana
January 14: Fort Wayne Rescue Mission
January 15: Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Indiana, or DSANI.
January 16: Community Harvest Food Bank
January 17: Turnstone
Chick-fil-A workers will also volunteer at each organization on its giveback day.
These give backs are part of the restaurant's Celebrate with Serving initiative, which started last year for the restaurant's fifth anniversary.
"For 2025, we have chosen to focus our giving efforts throughout the year to organizations serving people facing hunger and homelessness and empowering people with disabilities," Chief Marketing Officer Caitline Southern said in an email to WANE 15.
Chick-fil-A is located on 182 W. Coliseum Blvd. and open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. The Restaurant is closed on Sundays.
