Tejano accordionist Flaco Jiménez hospitalized Sunday

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Legendary Tejano accordionist Flaco Jiménez was hospitalized on Sunday, according to his Facebook page.
His family said in a statement:
"Flaco is currently in the hospital facing a medical hurdle- in good spirits but trying to get better. Rest assured, he's in good hands and on the road to recovery."
His family is currently asking for privacy and respect regarding his hospitalization.

There are no authorized GoFundMe donation requests nor active fundraisers, according to his Facebook.
Jiménez is a San Antonio native and has won five Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, an NEA National Heritage Fellowship and accolades from Billboard, Americana and Tejano music communities, according to the National Endowment for the Arts.
He has been inducted into the National Hispanic Hall of Fame, NYC International Latin Music Hall of Fame and was named a Texas State Musician.
