One hospitalized with serious injuries after house fire in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- One person was in the hospital with serious injuries after a fire broke out at a home late Tuesday night in Fairfax County.
Details remain limited, however, in a post on X, around 11:15 p.m., the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department said crews were on the scene of a fire in the 7500 block of Long Pine Drive, in Springfield.

The fire department said when crews arrived they found flames coming from the house.

Officials said one person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Their condition is currently unknown.
As of Wednesday morning, investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
