Weather forecast: Accumulating snow across Rochester
Jan 15, 2025
ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - Snow accumulated anywhere between two to five inches for most spots around the region as we kick off a snowy morning commute. Expect flakes to fly throughout this morning as wind flow persist off Lake Ontario. Temperatures are stuck in the 20s this afternoon with wind chills in the single digits.
Expect more snow showers to come this afternoon that could add another inch or so.
Winds swing back to a southwest flow Thursday and that will end any snow activity. Temperatures are still cold, but a warmup is in sight going into Friday. By Friday afternoon we climb into the lower 30s and the wind picks up. A large cold front will move in Saturday and lower pressure along it will trigger a rain and snow mix by Saturday. Colder air rushes in Sunday, but any large storm system by that point will be too far east to impact WNY. We are tracking LES Monday and Tuesday.
