Skies are clear and we are currently holding near 0° in downtown without the wind chill factored in! This marks the coldest morning since Jan. 21, 2024 (-1°) or in 360 days! Winds chills are subzero in many locations but thankfully the winds will remain fairly light from the west, southwest at 5-10 mph all day. Bright sunshine all day is expected, as temperatures steadily and slowly climb back to around 20°, marking another day below average. We are halfway through the month and running 5.8° below average, with little relief in the short term. The passage of a warm front tonight will bring increasing clouds and a few snow showers, along with rising temperatures (from 15° to 25°) overnight. Overall, roads should be good with a dusting in a few locations that will need to be watched. It'll be breezy, too. Cloudier skies at times for Thursday and Friday but plenty of dry time and milder air seeping in with highs above freezing by Thursday afternoon and nearing 40° by Friday night and into early Saturday morning. Polar air is forecast early next week, marking the coldest air possibly in years.
