Wanted Fresno County burglar arrested after father caught hiding him, police say

HURON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man wanted since last year was arrested Friday after allegedly burglarizing a home in Huron— officers say his father who had been harboring him was also taken into custody.
On Dec. 28, 2024, around 9:30 p.m., officers say they responded to a residential burglary in the 16600 block of 11th Street. The homeowner reported that several items had been stolen, including a 12-gauge Remington Arms shotgun.
After reviewing surveillance footage, detectives identified the suspect as 23-year-old Luis Najar Jr.

Investigators report Najar was arrested on Friday following a surrender during a short standoff at a home in the 16700 block of 12th Street.
Police say Najar was booked into the Fresno County Jail along with his father, Luis Pacheco Najar, who was arrested for obstructing officers and harboring a wanted fugitive.
