On Tuesday at 7:14 p.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Wednesday at 1 p.m. for Tompkins and Cortland counties."Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The highest snow amounts are expected across the northern portions of these counties."
