BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two people were hit with several charges, including aggravated murder and the moving of human remains, after a Richmond man was found dead in Brunswick County on Friday. Just after 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office were told about a man lying on the ground in the area of Moore Drive, near Boyton Plank Road. When first responders arrived, that man -- an unidentified Richmond man in his 40s -- was found dead. The sheriff's office previously asked for the public's help in identifying two people of interest in connection to his death, which had been ruled a homicide. Just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, investigators executed a search warrant on a home where they believed they would find the two suspects. The suspects were successfully arrested at that residence. According to the sheriff's office, 20-year-old Zakaila Ronae Stith of the Broadnax area and 20-year-old Nyellie Battle of Chesterfield Couty were both arrested without incident. They face the following charges: Aggravated murder Accessory to aggravated murder Robbery Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony Use of a firearm by a convicted felon Transporting, concealing and/or moving human remains The sheriff's office did not specify which suspect faces which charges. Stith and Battle are both being held at the Meherrin River Regional Jail with no bond.
