HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- With a six-day water crisis barely in the rearview for Richmond area residents, it's understandable if residents are especially concerned about their water quality. Henrico County officials shared on Tuesday, Jan. 14 that the county is receiving reports of cloudy water from area residents. As the boil water advisory for Henrico was just lifted this past weekend after a week of chaos and spotty water service, officials took to Facebook to address these reports. According to the county, this cloudiness is expected, as it's common during cold weather and following water pressure changes. As of the time of reporting, the county continues to flush its water system in the wake of the widespread water crisis. This can create additional air bubbles that can make it all the way to residents' taps. ALL COVERAGE: Richmond Area Water Crisis "So far, our investigations at residences have not revealed any other potential causes or concerns," officials said. If you're really worried about your water quality, Henrico officials provided an easy way to determine if you're experiencing quality-related cloudiness or if it's just air. Pour a glass of water and let it sit for up to 30 minutes. If it clears up, it was just air bubbles causing the cloudiness. If it doesn't, you may have an issue.
