NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Two boys were shot in the area of Hickory Point and Warwick boulevards in Newport News Tuesday evening and have what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries, police said.

Newport News Police said they responded to the area of Hickory Point and Warwick Boulevard around 7 p.m. in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two boys under the age of 18 with gunshot wounds, and they were taken to a local hospital, police said.
Police said they do not have any suspect information at this time.
