A fast-moving front moved through Tuesday, bringing snow and a continuation of frigid conditions. Afternoon temps reached the 15° to 20° range. This system brought pockets of heavy snow and low visibility, at times. Plus, gusty winds up to 30 mph, didn't help the matter. This chance for the heaviest snow has ended. However, an occasional snow shower or snow flurry is still possible in the early morning. Clouds are decreasing as Wednesday begins and high pressure moves in. Temps fall all the way to around 5°. Wind chills will be below zero, as low as -5° to -10°. Wind chill values will be as low as -5° to -10° during the early morning hours of Wednesday. The frigid air sticks around Wednesday. We'll have plenty of sunshine, but no noticeable warmth from it. Highs will be around 20°. Some snow showers start falling overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Thursday's high temperatures will be near freezing, representing a significant warmup from recent days. Less than 1" of new snow accumulation is expected during the window from Wed night - Thu. Only a light new snow accumulation comes on Thursday. It gets even warmer Friday with high temperatures in the upper 30s under partly cloudy skies. Rain and snow showers are possible Friday night and through Saturday, changing to snow showers early Sunday. Sunday's highs are in the upper teens, but these temps will fall through the day and we'll end up as low as 2° into Monday morning. This starts a very cold period that lasts from Sunday night through Tuesday. At times, during this stretch, wind chill values may be as low as -10° to -20°. The actual air temperature may even dip below 0° on Tuesday morning. At the end of next week, high temperatures rise back to the 20s.
