BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A man who pleaded no contest to shooting at a home in southeast Bakersfield and pointing a gun at a deputy was sentenced Tuesday.
Court records say Juan Jose Campos Jr. was sentenced to 12 years and eight months in prison.
Campos, 45, pleaded no contest last month to multiple charges, including assault with a gun on a peace officer and shooting at an inhabited dwelling.

On April 8, 2023, deputies were sent to Casa Loma Drive after a woman reported she and other family members were hiding because her uncle was firing into the home.
A video released by the sheriff's office shows deputies searching the house. They opened the door to a bedroom and Campos, crouched behind a bed, pointed a gun.
A deputy fired, wounding Campos. He spent weeks in a hospital before being transferred to jail.
