A woman was hospitalized with critical injuries after she was struck by a snow plow in the Merrillville Aldi parking lot Tuesday morning, according to a news release. Around 8:13 a.m., Merrillville police were sent to the store, located at 10 W. Lincoln Highway, after a report of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Upon their arrival, officers saw a woman who had been struck by a plow truck. Medics began treating the woman, whose injuries were critical, police said, and she was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police are investigating the incident.
