MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) released more details Tuesday about a shooting that happened Monday evening. MCPD said officials arrested 21-year-old Benjamin Jack Dresbach of Kensington in connection with the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Trevor Van Devander. At around 5:40 p.m., officers responded to Dresbach's home in the 3900 block of Franklin Street. They found Van Devander suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: 1 in custody after deadly shooting in Montgomery County Investigators believe that the two men were inside Dresbach's home when an altercation occurred that led to the shooting. Van Devander was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Md., where an autopsy will determine the cause and manner of his death. Dresbach was charged with second-degree murder. He is being held without bond.
