Clovis hosts 'Wellness Symposium' for ages 50 and up

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE)—An event in Clovis will promote wellness for people entering or well into their golden years.
The city announced its "Embracing Wellness Symposium: A New Chapter After 50" which invites anyone "50 and better" to join the day-long event focused on happy and healthy living.
“This symposium is all about providing the resources, connections, and inspiration to help our community embrace wellness and thrive well into their golden years. We’re proud to offer this meaningful and impactful event,” said Deputy General Services Director Bethany Berube.
Officials say the symposium will feature several local experts and people discussing health, safety, security, and other important topics. Attendees will also be fed breakfast and lunch.
The city says part of the event includes breaking into groups to explore various topics from situational awareness to small space gardening.
The event will take place on Feb 15. at the Clovis Senior Activity Center, 735 Third St. Tickets can be purchased for $20 at the center. Attendees do not have to be from Clovis, however, spots are limited.
