WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- The Wichita Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at a hotel Tuesday morning. Just before 6 a.m., someone called 911 to report a shooting in a hotel room in the 5800 block of West Kellogg Drive. That's just west of Interstate 235 and south of Kellogg. The name of the business is Economy Hotel Plus+. Police officers found a woman who had been shot twice in the lower part of her body. EMS rushed her to the hospital in critical condition, and police believe the woman will survive. Why paying with credit could cost you more in Kansas She indicated that she knew the man who shot her. The WPD says its preliminary investigation suggests the shooting was drug-related. "This remains an active investigation, and no additional information is available for release at this time," police said in a news release.
