Teenager injured in Easton apartment shooting

EASTON, Mass. (WWLP) - The Easton Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred at an apartment complex on Tuesday afternoon.
Easton Police Chief Keith Boone said that at around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a call about a shooting at an apartment complex on Robert Drive. Before police arrived, the suspects all fled the area.

Officers found a teenage girl with a serious gunshot wound upon arrival. She was brought by ambulance to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton and later flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Boston. Easton police said that the victim had experienced life-threatening injuries due to the shooting.
The Easton Police Department said that they believe this was not a random act of violence, but rather an isolated incident, and that there likely is no ongoing community threat.
Easton police are currently investigating this incident. Residents living in and around the Robert Drive neighborhood should expect increased police presence during the time of this investigation.
