SCITUATE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Scituate Police Department is mourning the loss of a sergeant who recently passed away.
The death of Sgt. Jason Riquier was reported on Jan. 13, which police said was unexpected.
Riquier worked for the Scituate Police Department for 23 years, and was a United States Marine Corps veteran.
In a statement, the Scituate Police Department said:
“We are all struggling with the tragic loss of Sgt. Riquier, who was a valued and respected member of our Scituate Police family. We want to thank our community, and our law enforcement partners across the state for the support they have offered our department and Sgt. Riquier’s family during this time.”
