EASTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Easton Police Department said a teenager was hospitalized with “serious” injuries after a shooting at an apartment complex on Tuesday afternoon. Around 2:30 p.m., Easton police went to the Avalon Complex on Robert Drive for reports of a shooting. At the scene, officers found a teenage girl suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Easton police. First responders transported the juvenile victim to Good Samaritan Hospital, who was then taken to a Boston hospital via MedFlight with “serious, life-threatening” injuries. Officials said the suspects fled the scene before the police arrived. The Easton Police Department said it believes this is an isolated incident and does not pose a threat to the public. Additionally, police said the area is expected to have an increased police presence while investigators are on scene.
