Rodriguez was shot and killed during an alleged robbery at a convenience store on November 23, 2020.
After climbing out of the store's drive-thru window and dropping the gun he was holding, Rodriguez reached back toward his pants. He was then shot a total of 13 times by five OKCPD officers, leading to his death.
All five officers were charged with first-degree manslaughter by former District Attorney David Prater in 2021. District Attorney Vicki Behenna later dropped the charges against the officers in 2023.
