LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Three new coaches have joined the staff of Head Coach Terry Boss at Lexington Sporting Club. Kyle Timm, Jose Robles and Nate Walzer signed on to the team on January 14 with the team soon to report to Lexington for preseason. Assistant Coach Kyle Timm After a stint with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley as the team’s associate head coach, Timm moves back to the league he coached in twice with Colorado Springs. Early in his coaching journey, Timm helped win three national championships at Tyler Junior College, where he played part of his college career, from 2012 to 2016. After he left East Texas, Timm spent time in South Carolina as a coach with the Myrtle Beach Mutiny in USL2 (2017-2018) and Coastal Carolina University (2017-2019). Assistant Coach Jose Robles Lexington’s other assistant coach is very familiar with the first. Robles and Timm played together for two seasons at Tyler Junior College from 2007-2009 and then won the the 2012 NJCAA National Championship as coaches at TJC. Robles joins the Greens from UCLA, where he was an assistant coach for one season. Before his time with the Bruins, Robles was at Tulsa for four years helping the Golden Hurricane make two NCAA Tournament appearances and win a conference title. He also has stops at Florida Atlantic and South Florida as a coach. Goalkeeper Coach Nate Walzer Trading the south west for the Bluegrass, Walzer joins LSC from fellow USLC club New Mexico United, where he was the goalkeepers and assistant coach. His coaching career began at Concordia University in Oregon where he also mentored in the Portland Timbers Academy. He also has stops at Charlotte Independence and North Carolina State.
