Mixed bag of high temperatures likely this week in central Indiana
Jan 14, 2025
Happy Tuesday and what a cold Tuesday it's been. Temps today have climbed into the lower 20's with snow showers passing through. Winds have been breezy making the wind chill in the lower single digits across the state.
It will turn colder tonight as lows fall below 0° tonight with wind chills ranging from -5° to -10°.
Expect temps to be near 0° around daybreak and then climb to the teens in the afternoon. Feel-like temps will however be in the single digits throughout the day.
As we shift our focus to the rest of the week, we will see a massive change in temps starting on Thursday. Highs will jump from the mid-teens tomorrow to the low 30's on Thursday. We will then top out in the mid to upper 30's on Friday with showers arriving late.
Next week, we could see the coldest temps of the year arriving. A strong blast of arctic air will penetrate the midwest once again, plummeting our temps back below 0°.
