Man arrested for murder over shooting east of downtown Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Police Department arrested a man for murder Tuesday in connection to a fatal shooting east of downtown.
A man was shot around 9:45 a.m. in the 1400 block of Lewis Street, according to a release from FWPD. Police and medics at the scene tried to revive the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified the suspect as Kenneth King, 24, who faces a murder charge in connection to the shooting.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
Homicide detectives are working to piece together the case, according to FWPD, and details are scarce at this point.
