ProAction receives $45K grant for EMS program

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - ProAction Emergency Services Institute was awarded a $45,000 grant to support general operations for its Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program.
The grant comes from the Austin-based Texas Mutual Insurance Company, the state's leading provider of workers' compensation insurance, ProAction said in a news release.
ProAction Emergency Services Institute provides life-saving EMS training to Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) students to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to manage emergencies effectively, according to the news release.
ProAction said that upon graduation, EMTs embark on careers as first responders safeguarding the community.
"We are deeply grateful to Texas Mutual for their generous support," Henry Brutus, executive director of ProAction Emergency Services Institute, said. "This funding will allow us to enhance our training programs, invest in state-of-the-art equipment, and ensure our instructors and students have the resources they need to succeed. This partnership helps us save lives."
