Manitou Springs digital parking permit system
Jan 14, 2025
(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — The City of Manitou Springs announced that starting on Monday, Jan. 13, the city will be implementing a new parking permit system.
All current 2024 permits will remain valid until Feb. 1 to give time for the transition. The new parking permits will be digital and tied to applicable vehicle license plates.
The new permits can be applied for and paid for directly through the City of Manitou Springs' Parking & Mobility Permits webpage. The City hopes the digital permits will help with efficiency, and mitigating issues related to forged permits and parking pass abuse.
The City said the new digital permit system offers a variety of parking permits tailored to meet the needs of its homeowners, businesses, and employees:
Residential Parking Permits are available to those living in the area at no cost. Digital permits are linked to the license plate and hanging tags will no longer be valid after Feb. 1.
Business Permits are also connected to license plates. Business owners will have access to an online platform to transfer permits or make changes including the deactivation of a permit.
Construction permits are available for residential construction projects.
Moving permits can be allocated for one, two, or three spaces
Dumpster permits are required for roll-off dumpsters placed on streets or paid parking areas.
The City said there will be changes made to the Smischny Lot and Witchita Lot which has changed to a new management company.
Additional information and assistance can be found at the City of Manitou Springs' Parking and Mobility Department at 202 Manitou Avenue, or called at (719) 685-2600.
